The Garden Ghosts Art series were conceived following a commission to make four “Lady Ghost” figures for a hair and makeup photo shoot.

Marco constructs the figures from rolls of agricultural wire coated with white anti-rust paint that convey the shapes of the human body through the garments. The technique has evolved to include increasingly intricate and unique designs in response to feedback about how much people enjoy the voluptuous curves of the lady characters and the ghostly style of dresses and accessories.

Each piece is made with special care and attention and despite their delicate appearance each ghost is well supported in all weather conditions as well as when curious birds use them as a perch.
